Sick Week: Vice Grip Garage, Flying Sparks Garage, Cleetus & MORE! An Epic Roadtrip Story!

Attention!!! I screwed a name up. Edit: Michael Westberg won Sick Week 2023 not Michael Westbrook.

My son and I take off on an epic 1500-mile road trip to day 3 of Sick Week at South Georgia Motorsports Park. I had made a custom wooden flag for Derek of Vice Grip Garage and Road Worthy Rescues fame, so we decided to go and present him with it on day 3 of Sick Week. Meeting him and Jessica and giving them this flag was an honor. Sick Week is a "Drag and Drive" event where people race their drag cars, then drive them to the next track to race again. They do this for five straight days. It's a race of attrition for man and machine. It brings in all kinds of different people. There are Sick Week Racers; then there are Sick Ward people who take part by just following all week and supporting the racers-all types of people, from regular Joes to legendary racers and famous YouTube personalities. We were excited to meet Aaron and Emily Reeves of the Flying Sparks Garage and see Cleetus McFarland and the crew. The cars that are at this event are all unique and unforgettable. If you've never been to a drag-and-drive event, grab a drink, sit back, and go on a journey with us to Sick Week 2023 - Day 3!! We even managed to stop in a Buc-ee's convenience store on the way home. I've never seen a gas station like a Buc-ees in my life.
