Revving up the excitement, Project Stang takes a wild turn! Our Mustang goes from zooming to a sudden halt, leaving us scratching our heads as the engine seizes up out of the blue. With no clear answers in sight, we decide it's time for some DIY action – out comes the motor! And so begins the adventurous saga of yanking out my first car engine. We whip up some nifty 2x4 wheel cribs to make the whole drive shaft removal a breeze. After stripping down the front end we then hook up the hoist and get ready for some serious lifting. With plenty of slow and steady teamwork, my partner-in-crime Donita and I successfully hoist that stubborn engine out of its cozy home. After a round of victory high-fives, we prep the motor for its close-up on the engine stand, gearing up for the exploration that lies ahead!
